Red Rock rock climbs
Being back home now I look back on the my spring Red Rock trip. I am once again truly amazed with the desert and variety of activities offered for me. Red Rock is certainly a very unique land to venture to. For most the main event is the world class Red Rock rock climbs but there is so much more that should not be missed. The early morning desert walks/runs, the plants and cacti, the animal life, the colorful sandstone formations, the early morning and late day light shows. Alive and well the Red Rock Conservation area is a full display of the magic in the desert.
Rising out of the canyon bottom the Red Rock rock climbs stretch upward on beautiful soft chocolate colored sandstone. Once above on the rim fantastic views are found in all directions.
The morning run ventures out on single track trails through the arid lands. Life is to be found all around, once our eyes and mind adjust from the NH homelands lush greenery.
The bright red Penstimen flower reaching skyward for the rays of sunshine.
Strawberry Hedgehog cactus beginning its bloom.
The golden glow creates a spectacular morning light show in Pine Creek Canyon.
Gin Ricky one of many fine Red Rock rock climbs. Above Dustin on sights this long, clean dihedral in the First Creek area.
Join in for a fall 2016 a desert adventure full of rock climbing and more. Red Rock rock climbs are being schedule today with Art Mooney. Contact Mooney Mountain Guides or Jackson Hole Mountain Guides to schedule your trip.
Back home in NH the spring rains are awakening the lands. Its NH time, to come alive, to bud, to show of its color. Travels to other areas always reminds me of the beauty I have right at home!!!
